Choosing the right turbocharger can feel like trying to decipher hieroglyphics. Between the endless strings of numbers, housing sizes, and flange options, it’s easy to get bogged down in spec-sheet overload.
At Turbosmart, we’ve engineered a comprehensive lineup of turbochargers designed to deliver relentless performance, exceptional transient response, and class-leading reliability. Whether you're building a highly responsive circuit weapon or a 2,000+ HP drag racing monster, this guide will break down our entire range, decode our part numbers, and show you what these turbos can do in the real world.
UNIVERSAL SPECS: BUILT TO OUTPERFORM
While our turbochargers span a massive range of sizes and power capabilities, every single turbocharger in the Turbosmart lineup shares the same premium foundation. We don't cut corners on materials or engineering.

Compressor Cover: Lightweight, CFD-optimized aluminum featuring an anti-surge inlet layout and an integrated, speed sensor port.
Compressor Wheel: 2618-T6 forged billet aluminum, CNC-milled with an integrated nut to drastically reduce rotating mass and improve spool times.
Turbine Housing: We only offer lightweight 310s stainless steel investment casting housings, built to withstand extreme heat without cracking.
Turbine Wheel: Constructed from durable 713C Inconel for maximum thermal resistance under high boost.
Bearing System: A proprietary dual ceramic ball-bearing system designed for optimized efficiency, reduced friction losses, and unmatched transient response.

HOW TO DECODE A TURBOSMART PART NUMBER
While our turbochargers span a massive range of sizes and power capabilities, every single turbocharger in the Turbosmart lineup shares the same premium foundation. We don't cut corners on materials or engineering.
Before diving into the specific models, let’s look at how we label our turbochargers. Once you understand the formula, you can identify any turbo in our lineup at a glance. Check it out below!
Example Part Number: TS-2-6466B-VB082E
TS: Turbosmart. (A reminder that you're running the best in the business).Â
Core Type (1 or 2): 1 indicates oil-cooled; 2 indicates water-cooled.

Size (e.g., 6466): The first two digits indicate the compressor inducer size in millimeters (64mm). The last two digits refer to the turbine exducer size (66mm).
Frame Size (B or C): Refers to the physical dimensions of the compressor cover (B Frame for tighter engine bays, C Frame for maximum airflow).
Flange Type & Rotation (e.g., V or VR): Indicates the turbine inlet flange (T3, T4, T4 Divided, or V-Band). If you see an R, it denotes a Reverse Rotation (mirror image) turbo.
A/R Ratio (e.g., 082): The three digits represent the turbine housing aspect ratio (082 = 0.82 A/R).
Gate Configuration (E or I): E stands for Externally Gated; I stands for Internally Gated.

THE B FRAME LINEUP: COMPACT, HIGH-PERFORMANCE PACKAGING
The B Frame range is our smaller physical footprint series. It’s specifically engineered to slide into tight engine bays without forcing you to compromise on your horsepower goals.
5862B (725 - 835 HP): Currently our smallest turbo size offering that packs a punch! Making 720HP at the hubs on Brock Leeson's 1.5J S15 drift build.
6262B (760 – 880 HP): Looking for a little more peak power from your 62mm turbine? Check out Lamspeed’s record drag GR Yaris putting down 790HP at the hubs!

6466B (825 – 955 HP): The middle child of our B-Frame turbos with plenty of power potential on tap! Our friends at Speedlab Inc. were able to squeeze out 912HP from a 4G63!
6870B (850 – 990 HP): Your eyes do not deceive you! We have a 6870 in both a B-Frame and C-Frame. Although smaller than its C-Frame counterpart, the 6870B has made 1,881HP on a Twin Turbo Huracan Performante from Precision Racing.

7170B (875 – 1,010 HP): The largest B-Frame turbo offering with the power to back it up! See Croydon Racing Developments 2.8L RB R32 Skyline generating 956HP.

Note: Internal wastegate options are only available on the 5862B, 6262B, and 6466B. Any B Frame turbo size larger than these requires an external wastegate setup

THE C FRAME LINEUP: MAXIMUM AIRFLOW FOR SERIOUS POWER
When you're ready to step up your power game, the C Frame range brings massive physical scale to the table. Designed strictly for high-volume airflow, C Frame turbos feature larger compressor inlets and outlets, utilize T4, T4 Divided, or 3-inch V-Band rear housings, and are exclusively TS-1 (Oil Cooled) and externally gated.
C Frame Performance Breakdown
6870C (875 – 1,035 HP): The perfect gateway into big-frame power. Speedlab Inc bolted this onto Estevan Caballero’s Evo9 to make 1,073HP at the hubs!
7275C (1,050 – 1,240 HP): Designed for extreme drag and roll-race applications. Look no further than the BYP roll-racing DC2 Integra, which extracted a massive 1,100 HP at the hubs out of a K24 engine combo.

7675C (1,100 – 1,290 HP): Shares the same high-flowing 75mm turbine wheel but packs a larger compressor wheel. The Calvo Motorsports Viper utilizes a twin-7675C setup to unleash an earth-shattering 2,470 HP.
7880C (1,150 – 1,350 HP): A heavy-hitter for elite builds, as proven by KMP Speed Shop and the Infiniti G37 they built making over 1,400HP!

8280C (1,225 – 1,445 HP): The current king of our production catalog. Sameh Yehia pushed the boundaries of this turbo, pairing it with an S58 engine to smash past its rating and deliver over 1,500 HP to the hubs equipped with a Pro Cover.

NEXT-LEVEL FLOW: THE NEW C-FRAME PRO SERIES
If you’re looking to squeeze every last drop of performance out of your setup, we’ve just raised the bar with our new C-Frame Pro Series compressor covers. Engineered with an enlarged internal geometry, these upgraded covers drastically increase overall airflow potential, resulting in significantly more top-end power. The best part? They are designed to fit seamlessly across our existing C-frame lineup, stretching from the 6870C all the way up to the heavy-hitting 8280C.
Spotting one of these high-flowing units is simple. Just look right after the frame designation in the part number: TS-1-7675CP-VB124E
The letter "P" immediately following the "C" frame indicator tells you that you're looking at a Pro Series model. It's an easy way to verify you've got our absolute highest-flowing compressor housing bolted to your engine.
THE BEST TURBO WARRANTY IN THE INDUSTRY
We don't just build high-performing turbos; we stand behind them. We offer a legendary 12-month, no-questions-asked, no-judgement warranty. If you break your Turbosmart turbo within the first year of purchase, we will replace it. It doesn't matter if you overboosted it, dropped a manifold bolt down the intake, or completely forgot to hook up the oil lines. If you have the proof of purchase, you’re covered.
WANT TO DOUBLE YOUR PROTECTION?
If you run your Turbosmart turbocharger alongside a Turbosmart OPR (Oil Pressure Regulator) or a Turbosmart Oil Filter, we will automatically double your coverage to a 24-month warranty.
