TURBOSMART KOMPACT EM PLUMB BACK VALVES NOW TÜV APPROVED

TURBOSMART KOMPACT EM PLUMB BACK VALVES NOW TÜV APPROVED

Turbosmart is proud to announce that a wide range of Kompact EM Plumb Back valves has now received TÜV approval, covering popular turbocharged vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Ford, Volvo, Toyota, Lexus, MINI, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and more.

For performance enthusiasts across Germany and the wider DACH region, this marks an important step forward. Customers can now upgrade selected factory electronic diverter valves with premium Turbosmart hardware while benefiting from the confidence provided by TÜV approval.

WHAT IS THE TURBOSMART KOMPACT EM?

The Turbosmart Kompact EM is a complete replacement for the vehicle’s factory electronic diverter. Many factory diverter valves rely heavily on plastic components that can become vulnerable when exposed to increased boost pressure, repeated heat cycles and tuned-engine demands. The Kompact EM replaces the original valve assembly with a precision-engineered solution designed to deliver improved durability and reliable boost control.

The approved valves are Plumb Back models, meaning released boost pressure is recirculated into the intake system in a similar way to the factory valve. This maintains discreet, OEM-style operation while upgrading the valve’s construction and boost-control capability.

WHY UPGRADE YOUR FACTORY DIVERTER VALVE?

Modern turbocharged engines depend on the diverter valve to manage charge pressure when the throttle closes. A valve that leaks or responds inconsistently can contribute to poor boost recovery, reduced throttle response and inconsistent performance.

The Kompact EM range offers:

  • Direct replacement for the original electronic diverter valve
  • Precision-machined billet construction
  • Plug-and-play electronic integration
  • No spring changes required for higher boost levels
  • No ECU calibration required for installation
  • OEM-style Plumb Back operation
  • TÜV approval on the listed products

BOOST BALANCE TECHNOLOGY

At the centre of the Kompact EM design is Turbosmart’s Boost Balance Valve Technology.

Conventional piston valves can require increasingly heavy springs to remain closed as boost pressure rises. A heavier spring can negatively affect valve response and may need to be changed as the vehicle’s boost level changes.

Boost Balance Technology uses boost pressure to help keep the valve sealed. This allows the Kompact EM to remain secure under increased pressure while still responding rapidly when the ECU commands the valve to open.

Whether the vehicle is standard or modified, the valve is designed to manage increased boost without requiring the owner to change springs each time the engine setup changes.

PLUG-AND-PLAY PERFORMANCE

Each Kompact EM is engineered for its intended application, including the correct mechanical fitment and electronic connection.

The valve connects to the vehicle’s factory wiring and continues to be controlled by the original ECU. This provides the benefits of upgraded valve hardware without requiring a separate controller or ECU calibration.

Vehicle-specific installation requirements can vary. Always confirm the correct valve for the exact model, engine and production year before ordering.
